Cup: SGE Goal Fest in Hütter's Debut - Senft's KSC Also Progresses
In Adi Hütter's competitive debut on the sidelines for Eintracht Frankfurt, fifth-tier side SC St. Tönis concedes eleven goals.
Adi Hütter and Maximilian Senft each celebrated victories in their competitive debuts.
Eintracht Frankfurt thrashed fifth-tier side SC St. Tönis 11-0 and set a DFB-Pokal record even before the halftime whistle: SGE had already scored ten goals by the break, the previous record being Bayern Munich's 10-1 victory over Waldberg in 1997.
Jonathan Burkardt, who scored a hat-trick (4th, 29th, 41st), opened the goal spree after less than 160 seconds, with goals then following almost every minute.
Can Uzun scored a brace (34th, 36th), while Robin Koch (10th), Ayoube Amaimouni (17th), Elias Baum (44th), Younes Ebnoutalib (45th+2) and Mario Götze (45th+6) also found the net. Fares Chaibi rounded off the scoring in the closing stages of the second half (87th).
KSC Turns the Game Against Preußen Münster
Senft also had reason to celebrate a dream debut: Karlsruher SC defeated relegated 2. Bundesliga side Preußen Münster 2-1.
The hosts took the lead in the first half through Montell Ndikom (35th), but goals from Marvin Wanitzek (69th) and Sebastian Jung (81st) turned the game in favour of the visitors. Christoph Kobald played the full match in KSC's central defence.
