1860 Departure: ÖFB Talent Set for Move to German Bundesliga
The 18-year-old could soon sign with a Bundesliga club and leave the chaotic club, which has been relegated to the Regionalliga.
Loris Husic is set to leave 1860 Munich.
The 18-year-old is not in the "Lions'" squad for Saturday's DFB-Pokal match against Holstein Kiel and has been released for contract talks.
"Loris was given the opportunity to speak with other clubs, which is why he was released from training," confirmed 1860 head coach Alper Kayabuna, addressing the departure rumors.
"I think very highly of Loris, but it's his decision, which we respect. I would have been happy if he had stayed here, but he has chosen a different path, and I respect that," he added.
FC Augsburg Shows Interest
According to reports from the "Abendzeitung," the future club of the Austrian talent might already be determined: Husic could be headed to Bundesliga club FC Augsburg, who are said to have been pursuing the Tyrolean for quite some time.
However, other higher-tier clubs are also likely to be interested in the central midfielder, who has made eleven appearances for 1860's senior team to date.
His contract in Munich-Giesing runs until summer 2027, which means this is the last opportunity for the "Lions" to secure a transfer fee by selling the Austrian. According to "transfermarkt.at," the 18-year-old's market value is estimated at 200,000 Euros.
