Adi Hütter set to receive desired defensive reinforcement
The Hessians are reportedly looking to strengthen their defense. A former French youth international is on the verge of a move to the Main.
Shortly before the start of the 2026/27 Bundesliga season, Eintracht Frankfurt could strengthen their squad once more on the transfer market.
As reported by "Bild," French central defender Lilian Brassier from Stade Rennes is said to be on the verge of a move to the Main – providing head coach Adi Hütter with the desired reinforcement in defense.
Currently, there are only four recognized central defenders in the "Eagles'" squad, with Nnamdi Collins out injured.
161 Games in Ligue 1
According to the report, Eintracht is already negotiating with Rennes, though the two clubs have not yet agreed on the final transfer fee, which is likely to be in the double-digit millions.
Last season, Brassier, who has already played 161 games in the French Ligue 1, was a regular starter for the Bretons. As a left-footed player with considerable pace, the 26-year-old would fit well into the profile sought by Eintracht.
