After World Cup Exit: Lennart Karl's Status

Lennart Karl resumed running training at FC Bayern München on Wednesday, marking his return to the pitch after his World Cup withdrawal.

"It will still take some time until I can join the training sessions with the lads. Now the main thing is not to rush anything," said the 18-year-old attacking player.

Karl had sustained a muscle bundle tear in his left anterior thigh a month ago during preparations for the World Cup and had to leave the DFB camp.

In the coming weeks, the three-time DFB international will continue his individual rehabilitation program at Säbener Straße, aiming to rejoin head coach Vincent Kompany's training during pre-season.
