Leipzig targeting Chelsea striker
An agreement between the clubs is reportedly already in place.
Will RB Leipzig make another move in the transfer market?
The return of Christopher Nkunku was only recently finalized, yet there could be another reinforcement in attack.
According to transfer insider "Fabrizio Romano", the Saxons are reportedly close to signing Marc Guiu from FC Chelsea. As "Sky" reports, an agreement between the "Bulls" and the "Blues" is already said to be in place. The transfer fee is reportedly set at 20 million Euros.
Four Strikers for One Position
Should the signing go through, Leipzig would have four central strikers in their squad with Guiu, Nkunku, Romulo, and Conrad Harder. However, in Demichelis' preferred 4-3-3 system, there would only be one available spot. ÖFB star Christoph Baumgartner also occasionally featured as a striker last season.
Currently, the Spaniard has few chances for playing time at Chelsea. Last season, the 20-year-old, who was developed at FC Barcelona, only made eight appearances in the Premier League.
