BVB Shooting Star Sidelined
Greek shooting star Konstantinos Karetsas will be unavailable for Borussia Dortmund until further notice. The attacking player sustained a ligament injury.
BVB shooting star Konstantinos Karetsas is out for the time being.
The Greek player had to leave the pitch injured just minutes after being substituted on during Saturday's Bundesliga match against Union Berlin.
Sporting director Lars Ricken confirmed a ligament injury for the 18-year-old.
"It's annoying, of course, but at first, we expected worse after seeing the reactions of his teammates," Ricken told "Sky".
Fit again for "Der Klassiker"?
Karetsas will therefore definitely be unavailable for BVB's Champions League clash with Sabah FK and the Bundesliga match against Hütter's club Eintracht Frankfurt.
Whether he will be able to feature in the top match against FC Bayern München on October 31st remains to be seen.
Regarding Karetsas, they will now "take it day by day," Ricken stated.
