Prass shoots Hoffenheim to victory in relegation battle
TSG Hoffenheim defeats Borussia Mönchengladbach 2-1 in a relegation battle. Austrian legionnaire Alexander Prass scores the decisive goal.
Christian Ilzer and TSG Hoffenheim secured an important away win on Sunday evening.
After the defeat against Besiktas Istanbul during the week in the Europa League, the Sinsheimers celebrated a 2-1 away victory against Borussia Mönchengladbach in the sixth round of the German Bundesliga.
The decisive goalscorer for TSG was Austrian international Alexander Prass.
Prass goal sparks Hoffenheim celebrations
Bambase Conte put Hoffenheim in the lead as early as the eleventh minute after Prass's assist, sparking celebrations from Ilzer.
A few minutes after the break, the hosts from Borussia equalized through Wael Mohya (49'). Just five minutes later, Alexander Prass put the visitors back in front (54'). It is the Austrian's first goal of the season.
With the three points, Ilzer's team lifts itself out of the relegation spots.
Gladbach still without a point
Patrick Wimmer is still missing for TSG due to injury. Kevin Stöger watched the entire match from the bench.
While the Sinsheimers can improve to 14th place, the "Foals" from Gladbach remain at the bottom of the table without a point.
