El-Mala Alternative: BVB Reportedly Signing Next Greek
The "Black and Yellows" long courted the Cologne supertalent. Now an alternative is on its way.
Borussia Dortmund is reportedly strengthening its offense again!
After lengthy and tough negotiations with 1. FC Köln over supertalent Said El Mala failed, sporting director Ole Book has pulled an alternative out of his hat.
According to "Sky", the German vice-champion is close to signing Giannis Konstantelias. An agreement has reportedly already been reached with the attacking player on a long-term contract, but the final agreement with PAOK Saloniki is still pending.
Transfer Fee Still Undisclosed
The 23-year-old Greek is reportedly already on his way to Dortmund. A transfer fee of between 25 and 30 million euros is expected.
Despite being only 23 years old, Konstantelias has already played 190 competitive matches for PAOK. He scored 44 goals and provided 26 assists. In 2024, a move for Konstantelias to FC Red Bull Salzburg fell through.
With 18-year-old Konstantinos Karetsas, BVB has already signed a talented Greek in this transfer window. The attacking midfielder joined for 30 million euros from KRC Genk in Belgium.
