RB Leipzig celebrates a clear 5-0 victory against Hamburger SV on the third matchday of the German Bundesliga, following their disappointing 1-4 defeat in the Champions League against Como.

After a good start by the visitors, Leipzig steadily found their rhythm. Already in the 17th minute, Gomis scored the opening goal after a through ball to Banzuzi and a subsequent cross into the middle.

The hosts continued in the same vein and hardly allowed HSV any more chances. Shortly after, Nusa extended the lead to 2-0 (28') after a turnover by the visitors.

Three Quick Goals Lead to Big Victory

After the break, Wolfe squandered a big chance to pull one back but failed against the Leipzig goalkeeper.

Hamburg seemed to be playing better again, but had to concede another setback in the 72nd minute. Orban got a free shot and converted for the third goal.

Things moved quickly thereafter. Just two minutes later, Nkunku appeared in front of the visitors' goal. He shot from around 13 meters and celebrated the 4-0. It only took three more minutes before Romulo added the 5-0 (77').

HSV Still Waiting for Breakthrough

After three games, Leipzig is fourth in the table (6 points). HSV remains in crisis, sitting last.

So far, they have left every game as losers and have a goal difference of -12.
