Michael Gregoritsch is the new record Bundesliga goalscorer for FC Augsburg!

The striker scored a brace in the 2-2 home draw against Bayer Leverkusen, surpassing Alfred Finnbogason. It was the Austrian's 38th goal in the German top flight for FCA.

At the same time, it marks the club's seventh point from their first three games. This comes despite the visitors from Leverkusen taking an early lead through Christian Kofane (18'). After the break, the Baum-led team ramped up their efforts, primarily thanks to brace-scorer Gregoritsch (50'/55').

The 32-year-old scored his second and third goals of the season with his left foot and a header. However, Patrick Schick managed to score an equalizer shortly before the end.

Clear Wins for Dortmund and Freiburg

The afternoon also proved successful for the two Austrian internationals Marcel Sabitzer and Carney Chukwuemeka. The two midfielders were substituted on in the 65th minute of Borussia Dortmund's 3-0 home victory against SC Paderborn.

However, others provided the goals: Fabio Silva (5') and Felix Nmecha (80'/89') secured the home win for BVB against the promoted side. Sabitzer assisted the third goal.

SC Freiburg secured an even clearer victory against a struggling Borussia Mönchengladbach. The Schuster-led team won 5-0. Igor Matanovic (29'/77') and Yannik Engelhardt (23'/79') each scored a brace. Maxi Eggestein netted the fifth goal (86'). Tim Kleindienst was shown a yellow-red card shortly after the break.

Philipp Lienhart played the full match for the Breisgau side, while Kevin Stöger had to come off for Gladbach in the 83rd minute.
