"Absolutely Outrageous" - Muslic Teases Wöber After Goal Against Union
The Schalke coach playfully teased his compatriot after his decisive goal. He had plenty of praise for his team.
It took more than 1,200 days for Schalke 04 to score a goal in the German Bundesliga again.
In the 25th minute of the match against Union Berlin (3:1, Match Report>>>), Robin Gosens was afforded this honor.

The final score and thus the decisive goal in the match was scored by the advancing ÖFB international Maximilian Wöber deep in injury time (90.+13) from a counter-attack.
However, this was not intended at all, as coach Miron Muslic explained after the match with a strong wink. That Wöber joined the counter-attack was an "absolute cheek," since Wöber was supposed to form the remaining defense. "And then he goes into the box. I'll get him, he's going to hear about this," Muslic said mischievously.

The Austrian coaching export had plenty of praise for his team in the end. "It feels fantastic," said Muslic. "We have arrived in the Bundesliga, already last week against Bayern. Many might have thought afterward that it was a one-hit wonder," he said.
His team proved that this is not the case. Schalke has come to stay. The 3-1 score was "telling." "When players like El-Faouzi and Tanaka still go in hard with a tackle in the 111th minute and fight for that one moment, my heart naturally swells," the 43-year-old rejoiced.
"Trophy Collector" Karius for the DFB Team?
Alongside Wöber, goalkeeper Loris Karius was once again one of the match-winners, and he is increasingly being linked with the DFB team. After Manuel Neuer's (final?) retirement, the hierarchy is open, and Germany also has a new national coach in Jürgen Klopp, who knows Karius very well from their time at Liverpool.
When asked about the national team after the match against Union, Karius said: "I don't consider anything realistic or unrealistic. To be honest, I don't give it any thought."
