Austrian international Entrup scores for Braunschweig for the first time

Maximilian Entrup scores his first goal for Eintracht on the 5th matchday of the 2. Bundesliga in Eintracht Braunschweig's 2-2 draw against Dynamo Dresden.

The Austrian international scores the interim 1-1 in a duel with compatriot Ahmet Muhamedbegovic. Muhamedbegovic, on the other hand, is involved in the visitors' early lead.

The match is overshadowed by the death of a Braunschweig fan.

Entrup equalizes early

Dresden gets off to the better start. After a corner kick, Muhamedbegovic sets up Nicolai Rapp, who scores the opening goal in the third minute.

Braunschweig, however, responds immediately. Mehmet Can Aydin crosses into the penalty area, where Entrup is perfectly positioned and directs the ball into the far corner for the 1-1 equalizer (5'). For the 29-year-old, it is his first goal since his move to Eintracht.

Subsequently, there are chances on both sides, but no further goals are scored before halftime. Entrup is substituted at halftime, while Muhamedbegovic remains on the field for Dresden.

Dresden equalizes again

Braunschweig takes the lead for the first time in the 68th minute. Tobias Raschl pulls Andi Hoti back by his shirt in the penalty area, and Aydin converts the resulting penalty kick.

However, the lead doesn't last long. After a corner kick, Braunschweig keeper Ron-Thorben Hoffmann makes a mistake, and Thomas Leon Keller heads the ball over the line for the 2-2 equalizer (72').

Thus, Braunschweig, under former Austrian national team assistant coach Lars Kornetka, is still waiting for a breakthrough after four consecutive competitive defeats and sits in eleventh place with four points. Dresden relinquishes the "Red Lantern" (bottom spot) and is 16th, also with four points.

Bochum squanders lead

Michael Steinwender and VfL Bochum also fail to secure more than a draw. Against Greuther Fürth, they only manage a 1-1 draw despite taking the lead.

Philipp Hofmann heads Bochum into the lead in the 16th minute. VfL had several chances to make it 2-0 afterwards, but conceded the equalizer in the 71st minute. Substitute Omar Sillah scores with Fürth's first real chance.

In the final phase, the game slips away from Bochum. Former Salzburg player Timo Horn prevents defeat with strong saves. Mats Pannewig (Bochum) also sees a yellow-red card in the 82nd minute.

Steinwender plays the full match in central defense. Bochum is seventh, Fürth ninth.

Kaiserslautern suffers first defeat

Meanwhile, Thierry Tazemeta and 1. FC Kaiserslautern suffer their first defeat of the season. FCK loses 0-3 to 1. FC Magdeburg.

The hosts already establish clear conditions in the early stages. Emmanuel Iyoha (12') and Alexander Nollenberger (16') make it 2-0 within a few minutes.

Iyoha definitively seals the victory in the 53rd minute with his second goal of the day. Tazemeta plays until the 71st minute.

Magdeburg climbs to third place with the win, while Kaiserslautern drops back to sixth.
