Confirmed! Ex-Salzburg player to feature in Germany
The 22-year-old striker is moving to the 2. Bundesliga in Germany. There, he will meet a former Sturm Graz player.
Roko Simic is moving to 1. FC Magdeburg.
The former Salzburg striker joins on loan from Cardiff City. The traditional German club has secured an option to buy for an undisclosed fee.
In Magdeburg, the Croatian will meet club favourite Baris Atik. The winger spent the second half of the 2017 season at Sturm Graz.
Already Fourth Club Since Departure
Simic (22) moved from Salzburg to Cardiff City in the summer of 2024 for two million Euros. Now, the British club is loaning out the centre-forward for the third time already.
Simic is already familiar with the 2. Bundesliga. Last season, he was on loan at Karlsruhe. In total, the 22-year-old has scored four goals in 32 games since his move from Salzburg.
Sporting Director Peer Jaekel is convinced of the Croatian's potential: "With Roko, we are gaining a player with great development potential who also already brings a lot of quality. We are convinced that he will enrich our attack with his abilities and give us additional options in offensive play."
