Tino Casali has a new club!

The 30-year-old goalkeeper joins German second-tier club VfL Bochum, signing a contract until summer 2028.

Casali was most recently under contract with RW Essen, making two appearances in the 3. Liga. Before that, he briefly played for his former club SCR Altach. In the summer of 2023, Casali moved from the Rheindörfler to Eintracht Braunschweig. However, after an ACL tear, he only made one competitive appearance for the club.

"Something Special for Me"

"I already know Sebastian Baumgartner (Bochum's goalkeeping coach, ed.) from my time in Austria. The discussions with him were so good that I was quickly convinced by the move. VfL is a big traditional club; that's something special for me," Casali is quoted in the press release.

Simon Zoller, Director of Licensed Football at VfL Bochum, says: "Tino will take on the role of challenger to the other two goalkeepers and, with his experience and quality, will not only support Hugo Rölleke in his development but also constantly challenge and push Timo as number one in daily training. The entire goalkeeping group will benefit from his presence and professionalism. At the same time, he will also be a real asset to the dressing room."
