English Club Linked with Andi Weimann
After his departure from Derby County, an old acquaintance is reportedly keen to sign the Viennese.
Since the end of the season, Andreas Weimann has been looking for a new club.
Shortly after his loan spell at SK Rapid ended, it was announced that Derby County would not extend the striker's contract.
Now, a new option appears to be emerging on the island. According to English media reports, Rotherham United wants to sign the 34-year-old.
McClaren reunion?
The "Millers" had to cope with relegation to League Two (the fourth-highest division) last season and are currently undergoing a rebuild. Steve McClaren is leading this process as sporting director. He knows Weimann from their time together at Derby County in the 2016/17 season.
Rotherham would be the eighth English club for the 26-cap ÖFB international.
