Austrian player and ex-Rapid star joins Chievo

Manuel Martic has found a new club in Italy's Serie D after his departure from Catania.

The Upper Austrian signs with fourth-tier club Chievo.

After Legnano, Lecco, and Catania, the club from Verona is already his fourth stop in Italy.

The centre-back was developed by Vorwärts Steyr, moved from the then-regional league club to SKN St. Pölten, with whom he also played in the Bundesliga, before he was signed by SK Rapid.

Martic made 23 competitive appearances for Rapid's first team between 2018 and 2020. After that, he moved to Croatia to Inter Zapresic, to Hungary to Mezőkövesd, and to Finland to HJK Helsinki, before finding his new footballing home in Italy in 2023.
