Schalke 04: Former Germany International for Muslic
The "Royal Blues" are on the verge of their next new signing. Miron Muslic is set to welcome a former Germany international.
FC Schalke 04 is on the verge of signing Robin Gosens (32).
According to consistent media reports, the 24-cap Germany international is leaving AC Fiorentina and moving under the tutelage of Austrian head coach Miron Muslic (43).
On Thursday, the full-back is expected to travel to Gelsenkirchen to clarify the final details of the deal and undergo a medical.
Sidelined in Florence
Gosens is reportedly set to join the Bundesliga promoted side on a loan with an obligation to buy. However, this obligation will only apply if they secure survival and amounts to 2.5 million euros.
In the summer of 2024, the former Atalanta, Inter, and Union Berlin professional moved to Fiorentina. In Tuscany, he was a regular starter last season, but was dropped from the squad for the new season.
Gosens is reportedly willing to waive a portion of his salary as part of the move, with Schalke 04 being his "childhood club."
