Goal and Victory: Successful Starting XI Debut for Ex-Rapid Player Kvilitaia
Against Dynamo Dresden, the striker makes his first start for Holstein Kiel – and scores the opening goal after just a few minutes.
That's what you call a successful starting XI debut.
Giorgi Kvilitaia led Holstein Kiel to victory in his first start against Dynamo Dresden (Austrian player Ahmet Muhamedbegovic remained on the bench for 90 minutes). The Georgian thus became the match-winner of the 2-0 victory on the 9th matchday of the German Bundesliga.
After just nine minutes, the former Rapid attacker put Kiel in the lead with a powerful shot. It remained 1-0 for over an hour, before substitute Therkelsen scored the 2-0 shortly after coming on.
Kiel thereby jumped to 13th place, while Dresden is now 15th.
