Premier victory for Sandro Wagner as coach of Hannover 96!

The new coach celebrates a narrow 2:1 success with his team against Dynamo Dresden in the 10th round of the 2. German Bundesliga. It is the first win in his fifth game in charge.

Match Turned Around

And that, despite the match starting arguably very poorly for the hosts. After eleven minutes, Rapp gives Dresden the lead. But Hannover shows character and turns the game around with goals from Chakroun (54.) and Hartel from the spot (61.).

A yellow-red card for Dresden's Müller prevents a possible comeback in the final phase (65.).

Thanks to the home win, Wagner's side also leaves the relegation zone and jumps to eleventh place. Dresden is last. Austrian international Muhamedbegovic comes on at half-time for Dresden, replacing the goalscorer.

Nürnberg Jumps Back to Second Place

1. FC Nürnberg are also back to winning ways. After three consecutive winless league games, Klose's side secures a narrow 3:1 victory against St. Pauli. Narrow, because the hosts had an xGoals value of 3.86, while Nürnberg only had 0.63.

An own goal from Smith (7.) gives the visitors the lead. St. Pauli, for whom Austrian international Nemeth once again plays the full match as captain, equalise through Ceesay (58.).

Haugen (71.) and Barjuan (90.) secure Nürnberg's late victory, moving them back to second place in the table.

Late Home Win for Fürth

In Sunday's third match between Greuther Fürth and Holstein Kiel, the hosts secured a late 1:0 victory.

The winning goal for the team of former Sturm coach Vogel was scored by substitute Keller after 87 minutes.
