Sporting slump: Hannover dismisses sports boss
The German second-division club reacts to the sporting crisis and dismisses its sporting director.
Things are currently far from smooth at Hannover 96!
The club from Hannover is currently only in 16th position in the 2. Bundesliga, level on points with bottom-placed Darmstadt 98.
Now the club is reacting to the sporting slump and has dismissed Sporting Director Jonas Boldt from his post. The supervisory board unanimously agreed on his dismissal, the club officially announced on Saturday.
Will Wagner stay?
Boldt only took over the post in June of this year, so now he has to leave again. The impact of his dismissal on head coach Sandro Wagner is still unclear. Boldt had backed his coach after the cup exit earlier in the week (All info >>>).
Boldt was already the second sporting director in Hannover this year. Previously, Jörg Schmadtke took over after Marcus Mann's departure to FC Red Bull Salzburg.
