Glasner at Nottingham: These Multi-Million Deals Could Be On The Horizon

The Upper Austrian Oliver Glasner recently took over as manager at Nottingham Forest. He already brought a compatriot, Xaver Schlager, to the island on a free transfer.

After his departure from Crystal Palace, the new Forest coach is said to have a significant say at his club.

According to the "Telegraph", a transfer meeting was held shortly before their departure for a training camp in Portugal, lasting four and a half hours.

New Signings Expected To Be Tall

For Glasner, tall players are reportedly a priority, as he wants to improve the club in terms of set pieces.

The club is reportedly considering Ousmane Diomande (22) from Sporting Lisbon for the central defence and is in advanced talks. Around 30 million pounds (approx. 35 million euros) is being discussed.

Signing from Tottenham?

For the midfield, the club is reportedly thinking of Lucas Bergvall (20) from Tottenham Hotspur. However, an initial offer of around 38 million pounds (approx. 44.4 million euros) has been rejected.

The Spurs are reportedly demanding 50 to 60 million pounds (approx. 58.5 to 70 million euros).

A Chelsea Striker for Glasner?

They also want to strengthen the striker position. Chelsea's Liam Delap (23) is reportedly on their radar for this. Glasner also wants to reinforce the right side of defence. Nottingham has already held talks with right-back Givairo Read (20) from Feyenoord Rotterdam, but alternatives exist.

The same might apply to the left side, as they only have one left-footed player, Luca Netz, for this position.

Will Adi Hütter Make a Signing from Glasner's Club?

On the outgoing side, centre-backs Zach Abbott (20) and Tyler Bindon (21) could still be loaned to the Championship.

The situation surrounding striker Arnaud Kalimuendo (24) remains unclear. Eintracht Frankfurt has a purchase option after his loan spell. The clubs are reportedly currently in talks. Another Austrian coach, Adi Hütter, would be waiting there.
