A club spokesperson told the outlet the following: "The Premier League's proceedings are not yet complete, several important steps still need to be taken, and strict confidentiality applies. Therefore, Manchester City FC's position remains unchanged from the club's statement in February 2023."
At the time, they expressed "surprise" at the accusations and welcomed the investigation.
