Haaland's Dad: "Everyone wants to play for Real"
His son too? Alf-Inge Haaland deliberately leaves a door open, even though Erling Haaland's contract at Manchester City still runs for a long time.
Erling Haaland is causing a sensation at the World Cup.
With a brace, the Norwegian superstar single-handedly eliminated record world champions Brazil, and now has seven goals from four games. The "rowing" never ends! Can Norway dream of the title? >>>
While Erling shines on the pitch, his father Alf-Inge gave an interview to "DAZN" before the match against Brazil - and spoke about a possible move to Real Madrid. The club his son has been linked with countless times in the past.
"Erling is very happy at Manchester City, but..."
"Erling is currently very happy at Manchester City and has a long-term contract, but everyone wants to play for Real Madrid and win the Champions League," says the 53-year-old.
Erling Haaland has already triumphed in the Champions League with ManCity; his contract is still dated until summer 2034.
Nevertheless, his father makes no secret of the fact that he could well imagine his offspring playing for the "Royals". "Would I like to see him at Real Madrid? Maybe. In football, there's always a chance, you never know," he says.
