Flopped at Chelsea: Garnacho moves on in the Premier League
The Argentine significantly underperformed at the "Blues". Chelsea is therefore letting him go after one year.
Alejandro Garnacho is leaving Chelsea FC and joining Aston Villa.
It is the second deal between the two clubs within a few days, as just on Tuesday Morgan Rogers went the other way for a British record sum of 137 million euros.
Garnacho will initially only be loaned to the "Villans". In the summer of 2027, a mandatory purchase option will become active under certain conditions. The criteria for this are said to be easy to meet. Following that, the Argentine would be tied to the Europa League winners for four years.
Chelsea had only signed the 22-year-old from Manchester United last summer for 46 million euros. However, at the "Blues", the winger only managed eight goals and four assists in 43 competitive matches.
