Confirmed! Hartberg unveils Liverpool goalie
TSV strikes at Anfield Road and signs a Hungarian-Austrian goalie. He has already played for Hungary's senior national team.
TSV Hartberg signs goalkeeper Armin Pecsi (21) on loan from Liverpool FC.
The Hungarian-Austrian dual national was the number one for the "Reds'" U21 last season.
Born in Austria
However, the goalkeeper born in Austria will never play for the ÖFB. In June, he celebrated his senior national team debut for Hungary.
"I am very happy to be at TSV Hartberg now. The club pursues a clear path of developing young players while being successful – that's exactly what convinced me from the start. I already felt the club's trust in the first discussions and I am now happy to be here," said the new signing.
Liverpool spent millions
Coach Markus Schopp said: "I think it's great that even this season, one of Europe's biggest clubs is entrusting us with one of the greatest goalkeeping talents. That simply speaks for TSV Hartberg, because very good work has always been done in this position in recent years."
According to "transfermarkt", Liverpool signed Pecsi from Puskas AFC in summer 2025 for 1.78 million Euros. His contract at Anfield Road runs until 2030.
