Negotiations are reportedly already well advanced, with both clubs agreeing on a transfer. This provides Liverpool FC with the last opportunity to receive a transfer fee for Jones – the 25-year-old's contract expires after this season. The Reds are reportedly receiving a transfer fee of 35 million Euros for the midfielder.
With Liverpool FC Since U9
Jones is considered a figurehead at Anfield Road and, above all, a role model for the next generation.
The midfielder, who grew up in Liverpool city centre, has played for Liverpool FC since the U9s and worked his way up through the academy to the professional ranks. He made his debut for the Reds on December 7, 2019, under Jürgen Klopp.
Jones has since made 228 competitive appearances for Liverpool, scoring 22 goals and providing 25 assists. With the Reds, he won, among other titles, the Champions League and two English league titles.
He also became an England international and has so far made six appearances for the Three Lions.
