Ayyoub Bouaddi was one of the discoveries at the 2026 World Cup.

The 18-year-old was the orchestrator in Morocco's central midfield and played a decisive role in the North Africans' strong performance with his impressive displays. Even before the tournament, he was on the radar of several top clubs, and the list of interested parties has likely only grown longer.

Two Premier League Rivals Still In The Race

According to "The Athletic", Manchester City is set to make a move this summer. The Cityzens are expected to lead the transfer chase for the 18-year-old's services. Only two other interested parties, Arsenal and Manchester United, are reportedly still in the running.

According to the report, OSC Lille would consider a sale for a transfer fee of 100 million euros. His current employer expects a fundamental decision from the player soon. Should he consider a summer transfer, things could quickly become concrete.

Unlike their competitors, Manchester City intends to integrate the midfield engine directly. A loan-back to OSC Lille is out of the question for the English runner-up.

Should the deal actually go through, Bouaddi would be, after Elliot Anderson, the second nine-figure transfer for central midfield this summer.
