Arsenal go empty-handed for the first time this Premier League season and also suffer an away defeat for the first time in five months!

On the fifth matchday, they endure a painful 0-3 loss at Brighton and Hove Albion.

Pascal Groß gives the "Seagulls" the lead after half an hour with a shot from 20 meters that hit the inside of the post. Before the break, a counter-attack, finished by Charalampos Kostoulas, made it 2-0. Chema Andrés scored the decisive goal with a header (57').

Thus, the league lead passes to the "Citizens" due to goal difference even before Manchester City's match against Sunderland. Brighton jumps to third place with ten points.

Everton remains unbeaten, Hull City does not

Everton continues their good start to the season with a 1-0 victory over Ipswich Town. Thierno Barry scores in the eleventh minute, but VAR denies the Frenchman a second goal. From the 67th minute, the visitors played with ten men after Issahaku Fatawu received a yellow-red card.

Newcastle United inflicts a 2-1 defeat, their first of the season, on promoted side Hull City. Joseph Willock and Lewis Hall (3rd and 7th minute respectively) ensured a comfortable lead early on. Yoane Wissa missed the chance to effectively seal the game from the penalty spot (45'+2). The final phase became exciting again with Cho's consolation goal (67').
