The first half ended goalless. Antony scored for the Andalusians from an offside position (14th min), Svensson missed the best chance for the home side (22nd min).
Impact Sub Karetsas Seals the Win
After the break, Dortmund got off to a dream start: Fabio Silva capitalized on a Bellingham shot to make it 1-0 (49th min).
However, Betis fought their way back. Aitor Rubial finished off a counter-attack after an Anton turnover and Ezzalzouli assist to equalize at 1-1 (67th min).
The decision came from substitute Konstantinos Karetsas in the 72nd minute. The Greek fired from the edge of the box, and Betis keeper Valles could not parry the saveable shot.
