WSG Tirol signs loan player from Premier League club
The English attacking player joins Wattens on a season-long loan.
WSG Tirol has signed an attacking player with Premier League experience.
As announced by the Tyrolean club, Michael Olakigbe is moving on loan for one season from FC Brentford to the ADMIRAL Bundesliga club in western Austria.
"With Michael Olakigbe, we are getting a winger who brings exactly what helps us on the flanks: pace, courage in one-on-one situations, and the quality to beat an opponent, but also to put our strikers in position," manager Stefan Kรถck raves about the new signing.
Eight Premier League appearances under his belt
The 22-year-old, who played for fourth-tier club Swindon Town in the spring, comes to Wattens with experience from England's top flight: he has already made eight appearances for Brentford in the Premier League.
Olakigbe was developed in the youth academies of Queens Park Rangers and FC Fulham. The winger has been capped twice for the English U20 national team.
