Of all teams, against his former club: Tim Trummer set for comeback
He was GAK's best player on his debut, but then got injured and was sidelined for two months.
Tim Trummer is finally poised for his injury comeback after more than two months!
The right-back joined on loan from Red Bull Salzburg in the summer. And his start was promising: In his first competitive match for the "Rotjacken", an ÖFB Cup tie against Donaufeld, he was the most prominent player on the field and even scored the opening goal.
Injured while scoring his debut goal
However, he sustained the injury precisely in that moment. The 20-year-old suffered a muscle injury to his posterior thigh, which has kept him sidelined since the end of July.

His return could coincidentally come against the Salzburg side on the upcoming matchday. In the last friendly (a 5-1 win in Kalsdorf), he played 30 minutes. "I feel very good, I'm back in full team training and have absolutely no problems. I'm definitely ready," Trummer told the "Kleine Zeitung".
Whether his comeback is against his parent club, by the way, is irrelevant to him: "Of course, the injury was mentally tough, but I immediately looked forward and focused on my rehab. Now I'm delighted to be fully back. Whether it's against Salzburg or anyone else, I want to win the game."
