Instead, SK Sturm's attention could turn to Sweden. Michael Parker is under contract there with Örgryte IS.

Is Sturm Competing with Turkish Clubs?

Interest from Graz in Parker was reported as early as the beginning of June. Now, however, negotiations could intensify. According to transfer insider Rudy Galetti, Sturm is in talks with Parker.

The expectation at Örgryte IS is that the 21-year-old Englishman will leave the club this summer.

However, the 1.93-meter tall left-footed player is also said to be highly sought after by Turkish clubs: Konyaspor, Besiktas, and Kocaelispor are also reportedly pursuing Parker.

Örgryte Prepares for Transfer

Parker comes from the youth ranks of Huddersfield Town, and also played in the U21 teams of Burnley and West Bromwich Albion, among others. The Englishman only moved to Örgryte in February.

There, he featured in 21 competitive matches in the last half-year. On Saturday, he played only 26 minutes with an impending transfer in mind.
