FC Red Bull Salzburg continues to rely on the services of Justin Omoregie.

As the Salzburg club announced on Sunday, the contract with the 22-year-old Viennese will be extended until 2028.

Omoregie moved from the youth academy of Wiener Austria to Salzburg's in 2017. The multi-time Austrian youth international subsequently worked his way up into the Bundesliga team's squad, but is still awaiting his first competitive appearance there.

Numerous Injury Problems

This is partly due to the many injuries suffered by the defensive midfielder, who can also be deployed in defence.

He completely missed last season due to an Achilles tendon rupture and a shoulder injury. He has also had to sit out this season so far due to his injured shoulder.

However, Omoregie has already gained Bundesliga minutes in his career: In 2024/25, as a loaned player for TSV Hartberg, he made 19 appearances in Austria's top football flight.
