U-turn! Silberberger on the verge of exit in Wolfsberg
After a stay was still being discussed earlier this week, Thomas Silberberger is now reportedly facing dismissal as WAC coach.
Wolfsberger AC is facing its fourth coaching departure within a calendar year.
At the beginning of the week, everything still pointed to a stay: While Rene Renner was first suspended due to a disciplinary incident and then his contract was terminated, Thomas Silberberger had still been leading the training sessions until now.

Silberberger could be dismissed as early as Thursday
Now, however, the 53-year-old Tyrolean's time in Lavanttal could come to an end. As "Krone" reports, the separation is expected to be announced on Thursday.
Silberberger only took over WAC from the luckless Ismail Atalan at the beginning of April and kept the team in the league during the season's final sprint. This season, however, the Carinthians simply aren't getting going.
WAC winless since Bundesliga season opener
Since their 3-0 opening victory against Wiener Austria, Wolfsberg have been waiting for a win in the ADMIRAL Bundesliga, with only two additional points added since then. Most recently, they have also suffered five consecutive defeats.
In the meantime, the Lavanttal side at least advanced one round in the UNIQA ÖFB Cup, but only prevailed against regional league team Parndorf in a penalty shootout at the beginning of September.
Now, it seems the fourth coach within 378 days will also not fulfill his contract in Wolfsberg. After Dietmar Kühbauer's departure to LASK a little over a year ago, Peter Pacult, Atalan, and Silberberger, who is still tied to the club until 2028, have all tried their luck in the interim.
