Bundesliga First: Ried Players Called Up for National Team
Two key players from SV Ried will travel to their respective national teams for the upcoming international break, marking a Bundesliga first.
Samuel Chukwudi and Jussef Nasrawe, two players from SV Ried, have been nominated for their national teams.
Nasrawe made his first and only appearance for Iraq in May. He was not part of the World Cup squad then. Now, Oman, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia await in the Gulf Cup.
First Faroese International
New signing Chukwudi, who hasn't missed a single game in central defense this season, will face Kazakhstan, Moldova, and Slovakia with his team, the Faroe Islands, in the Nations League.
So far, he has made nine appearances for the small island nation. This also makes Chukwudi the first Faroese international in the ADMIRAL Bundesliga.
