Friendly Defeat for SV Ried

SV Ried lost their second friendly match under coach Mario Despotovic by a score of 2:4. Against German third-division club SSV Jahn Regensburg, two 60-minute periods were played.

Ried took a 1-0 lead in the 21st minute from a corner kick by Weissenbacher and managed to double their advantage in the 40th minute. After a shot by Rhodes hit the post, new Ried signing Stefan Schwab was in the right place to convert the rebound for a 2-0 score.

However, Regensburg managed to equalize in the 47th and 60th minutes during an extended first half. At the start of the second half, both coaches made multiple substitutions.

The second 60 minutes, however, were not as successful as the first. Germany's Lucas Hermes scored twice (104th, 112th minute), sealing the 2-4 final score.

The Upper Austrians' next two friendly matches will take place on July 10th against Istanbul Basaksehir in Peuerbach.
