Transfer halt after Massombo case: "Nothing more will happen"
The headlines surrounding Altach rarely focused on sporting matters. Now, however, clarity has been provided regarding both Massombo and the squad.
It was, of course, the big topic of recent weeks.
Yann Massombo caused a big stir at Altach with his contact regarding a move to SK Sturm Graz.
Ultimately, however, he decided, together with Altach, to remain with the Vorarlbergers and also played many minutes as a "super-sub" in the entire second half of the 0-3 defeat in Linz.
Nevertheless, Altach was still looking for attacking reinforcements in the transfer market. However, after the signing of Rodney Elongo-Yombo, it now appears there will be no further transfers.
Altach Coach Zaric: "Nothing more will happen"
Because immediately after their fourth league defeat in five games, Altach coach Ognjen Zaric spoke out on the matter.
"We must and want to work with the players who are in the squad and develop them further. Nothing more will happen in the coming days," Zaric clarified.
At least the offensive, but also the defensive performance in the first half, were quite disappointing in Linz. "We were asleep for the first 20 minutes. After that, we played a much better second half, but ultimately, we let it slip early," Zaric added.
Now, Altach awaits their ÖFB Cup second-round match against SK Bischofshofen next weekend (Friday, from 6:30 PM in the LIVE ticker >>>).
