Dominant Performance! LASK celebrates a clear victory over Altach
The Linz side remain flawless in their fourth league match. A brace from Christoph Lang paves the way for the victory over the Vorarlberg team.
On the fourth matchday of the ADMIRAL Bundesliga, LASK celebrated a more than dominant 3-0 home victory over SCR Altach.
The Linz side got their first big chance after just 23 seconds, but Moses Usor pushed the ball just past the right post.
Just two minutes later, however, LASK managed to score the opening goal. Christoph Lang netted after a strong solo effort, finding the bottom left corner via the inside of the post to make it 1-0 (3'). Even after that, the Kühbauer-led team remained offensive and dominant.
Lang bags his brace before the break
Logically, the Upper Austrians extended their lead. Christoph Lang scored again, heading in from about four meters to complete his brace and make it 2-0 (19').
At least Altach created a few attacking moments before halftime, but the Zaric-led team's efforts were clearly too harmless.
After the break, Yann Massombo came on for Altach. After being heavily courted by Graz, he now wants to make headlines for the Vorarlberg team with his play.
Flecker secures the clear victory in the closing stages
However, a long period of yellow cards on both sides characterized the time after the halftime break. LASK, meanwhile, became somewhat more passive, and the Vorarlberg team registered a few periods of possession, but these created hardly any danger.
Nevertheless, the Kühbauer-led team became more dangerous in front of goal in the closing stages and was able to celebrate a third time. Florian Flecker scored a spectacular goal into the top left corner for the 3-0 final score (89').
Thus, after their sensational entry into the Champions League, LASK also won their fourth league match. Altach, meanwhile, suffered their fourth defeat of the season in their fifth game.
