In the 5th round of the ADMIRAL Bundesliga, Grazer AK drew 0-0 with Wolfsberger AC in Gerald Scheiblehner's first match in charge.

The "Rotjacken" took control from the outset, with Alexander Hofleitner testing WAC goalkeeper Lukas Gütlbauer with a corner kick after just four minutes. Ten minutes later, Anderson headed over, and then things took a bitter turn for the Lavanttal side.

Captain Nicolas Wimmer handled the ball as the last man with his elbow, resulting in a red card for the defender in the 16th minute. GAK subsequently dominated the match even more; Gütlbauer, in conjunction with the post, saved a shot from Peter Michorl, and Ismael Guerti also found his match in the WAC goalkeeper.

GAK Fails to Capitalize

WAC offered absolutely nothing in the entire first half; instead, Fabian Wohlmuth just managed to prevent an own goal on the line after a corner. The Graz team must reproach themselves for not having taken the lead much earlier, with Leon Klassen also hitting the crossbar with a direct shot before the break.

After halftime, the pattern continued, with Tobias Koch and Klassen having a double chance, and Gütlbauer making a superb foot save from an Anderson shot.

After a good hour, WAC had a good, and their only, chance of the game, with Cican Stankovic getting crucial fingertips to a shot from Giacomo Vrioni.

Wolfsberger Fights for a Point

Despite their clear superiority, GAK simply could not find the back of the net this afternoon. Michorl hit the post ten minutes before the end, and substitute Mark Grosse shot narrowly wide shortly after.

In the end, WAC was rewarded for a fighting performance with a point, while for GAK, the draw felt like a defeat.

In the table, Wolfsberger are now in sixth place with five points, while GAK is temporarily ninth with four points.
