A young Japanese player will get a chance to prove himself in the youth academy of double winners LASK between August 5th and 20th.

Kosuke Murata (17) is trialing in Linz, a fact proudly reported by his club, Gamba Osaka.

Part of the Ajax Partnership

"This training is part of our partnership with AFC Ajax and is one of the player development initiatives that utilize AFC Ajax's international football network. The goal is to further promote the player's mental and athletic development by integrating him into a top-class European environment," says the Japanese first-division club.

The club celebrated a surprisingly great success last season under former Salzburg assistant Jens Wissing. The Japanese side pulled off a sensation by winning the AFC Champions League Twoo.

Nakamura also came from there

Whether the midfielder could actually become a candidate for a transfer to the 'Steel City' remains to be seen. The Ajax connection certainly opens new doors for the Linzers.

The Linzers have had excellent experiences with Gamba Osaka; in 2021, a certain Keito Nakamura transferred from this club to the 'Steel City'. In 2023, he was profitably sold to Stade Reims.
