Austria Lustenau terminates contract with offensive player
In the promotion season, the 22-year-old Ivorian still made 16 appearances; most recently, he didn't even make it into the matchday squad. Now they are parting ways.
SC Austria Lustenau and offensive player Ibrahim Ouattara are parting ways.
As the newly promoted Bundesliga club officially announced on Tuesday afternoon, the club and the Ivorian have mutually agreed to an early termination of the existing contract.
In the summer of 2024, Ouattara initially joined on loan from Clermont Foot, before the club from Ländle permanently signed the offensive player the following summer.
In total, the 22-year-old Ivorian made 35 competitive appearances for SC Austria Lustenau. He did not feature in the first two matchdays of the ADMIRAL Bundesliga, and most recently, he didn't even make it into the matchday squad against GAK.
Sporting Director Dieter Alge: "In recent weeks, we have held several open and good discussions with Junior and jointly decided to terminate the cooperation prematurely. Even in a sporting situation that was not always easy for him, he always behaved exemplarily. We wish him all the best for his future path and hope that he will get regular playing time at his next club."
