40 Million! Glasner secures sought-after defender
Oliver Glasner can count on a defender next season who was also on FC Bayern Munich's radar.
Nottingham Forest signs Ousmane Diomande.
The Ivorian (22) leaves Sporting Lisbon and moves for a transfer fee of around 40 million euros to the club of head coach Oliver Glasner and Austrian international Xaver Schlager.
Diomande signs a four-year contract in the Midlands, with an option for a further year.
The centre-back had played for Sporting Lisbon since winter 2023, and prior to that for FC Midtylland in Denmark.
Last summer, the 1.90-meter tall right-footed player was linked with clubs such as Real Madrid, FC Bayern Munich, and Manchester United.
