It's Official! Promoted Side Lustenau Signs Striker from Hoffenheim

Promoted side Austria Lustenau is strengthening its squad with a striker!

The Vorarlberg club announced this on Tuesday evening. Precious Benjamin, a 19-year-old Nigerian, joins the club on loan for one season from TSG Hoffenheim.

Last Season at Altach

Benjamin joined the Kraichgauer's U19 team from Grassrunners FC in his home country in winter 2025, where he made it into the Bundesliga team's matchday squad once. However, he did not feature against FC Bayern then. Benjamin is already familiar with Vorarlberg, having been on loan at SCR Altach last season (seven Bundesliga appearances).

Benjamin had already been a trialist at Austria in recent weeks, where he managed to convince coach Markus Mader with his abilities.

I want to do my part to ensure we have a successful season and can hardly wait to get started," Benjamin is quoted in the press release. 

Sporting director Dieter Alge says: "With Precious, we gain a young, very talented player who brings great potential and perfectly fits our philosophy. Despite his young age, he has already trained at a high level and possesses exciting attributes as a striker. We are convinced that he will find the optimal conditions with us to take the next step in his development."
