Confirmed: Salzburg signs Napoli attacker

The transfer is now official: FC Red Bull Salzburg is strengthening its attack with 18-time Danish international Jesper Lindstrom.

The winger moves on loan from SSC Napoli to the "Bulls," who, according to "Sky," have secured a purchase option for the 26-year-old.

Jesper brings pace, technical quality, and versatility, can play multiple attacking positions, and has gained important experience in Denmark, Germany, Italy, and England. Europa League Winner with Eintracht Frankfurt

Lindstrom moved from his Danish homeland, Brøndby IF, to Eintracht Frankfurt in summer 2021, where he accumulated 14 goals and 14 assists in 80 competitive matches. In 2022, he became a Europa League winner under coach Oliver Glasner.

One year later, Lindstrom transferred to Napoli for 30 million Euros. However, he has not been able to establish himself there so far, which is why he is now being loaned out again after spells at Everton and Wolfsburg.

Lindstrom played 70 matches in the German Bundesliga, 25 in the Premier League, and 22 in Serie A. The attacking player appeared eleven times in the Champions League. The 26-year-old scored his last professional goal in January 2023.
