The new striker moves to Styria on a free transfer and most recently kept fit at the Younion-Camp.
Angelo Gattermayer will now play for TSV Hartberg!
The 24-year-old signs a two-year contract with the Styrians with an option for an extension. His contract with WAC was not extended upon the expiry of the past season in the ADMIRAL Bundesliga.
In the 2025/26 season, Gattermayer featured in 28 Bundesliga matches, scoring two goals and providing two assists. Despite his departure, he will remain in WAC's history books. In 2025, he scored the golden goal in the final against his new club, securing the Cup win for WAC.
"Versatile Player"
Head coach Markus Schopp on the striker: "We are gaining a player who has repeatedly proven his great potential in recent seasons. He is versatile in attack and brings a very important player profile that will make us even more flexible in our offensive play."
Gattermayer himself: "The club has gone to great lengths from the first minute and shown me a lot of appreciation. Especially coach Markus Schopp made a significant contribution to my decision to choose Hartberg. I am sure that we can achieve a lot with this team, and I am looking forward to the upcoming tasks with Hartberg."
