100 Years of FAK! Austria Unveils the Anniversary Kit
The Violets are celebrating two anniversaries this year. The new kits are designed in a suitably historic style.
Wiener Austria has unveiled its new home and away kits for the upcoming season.
Under the motto "Carrying History into the Future," the new kits connect history with the commitment to visibly carry forward the values of Austria Wien for future generations, both on and off the pitch.
The club was founded 115 years ago, and 100 years ago, the Wiener Amateur-Sportverein became Fußballklub Austria Wien.
"Two anniversaries that stand for a distinctive identity, lived passion, and a community that connects generations. The new kit precisely links these roots with everything that lies ahead," the statement reads.
Violet and White
The new kits are kept simple in violet and white, with deliberately incorporated retro elements designed to bridge the gap between history and future.
The historic club crest commemorates Austria's roots, while the striking Urania facade stripes in the center of the kit are intended to unite the five club logos from 115 years of club history.
The design lines are a homage to classic Austria kits and give the design an authentic retro character.
The inscription "Fußballklub Austria Wien" is sewn into the neck, and the five honorary captains – "Hussak, Nausch, Fiala, Sara, Prohaska" – are immortalized in the hem of the kit.
