An absolutely clear-cut affair in the clash between top and bottom.

In matchday 12 of the ADMIRAL Bundesliga, SK Rapid secured a 6-0 home victory against WAC.

The hosts took the lead as early as the ninth minute through Nosa Dahl. Following a dribble from Tilio, the Australian delivered a low cross to the back post, where Dahl was waiting to tap the ball over the line.

Seven minutes later, the home side celebrated again. First, Raux-Yao headed against the crossbar from a Demir free-kick. However, the Viennese stayed in possession and Demir sent another cross into the box. This time Kara was on hand to score (16').

However, the goal was subsequently ruled out by VAR, as Raux-Yao was narrowly offside when the free-kick was taken.

Dahl grabs a brace

In the 28th minute, WAC created a major chance through Karamoko, but the Ivoirian was denied by Hedl.

Shortly before half-time, WAC failed to clear the ball convincingly. Matthias Seidl played the ball quickly with his first touch to set up Nosa Dahl. The Norwegian rounded two WAC defenders and finished with his weaker left foot to make it 2-0 at the break (45').

Rapid keep pressing, WAC fall apart

After a comfortable half-time lead for Rapid, the game became even more one-sided in the second half. At first, the Viennese weren't truly threatening, but that changed after 67 minutes: Demir tried his luck from distance, and Kara tapped in the rebound.

It was almost a quickfire double, but Adamsen's goal was disallowed for an attacking foul by Kara following a VAR review. Seven minutes later, after WAC's third tactical adjustment of the match, the Dane got his goal: following a brilliant team move, the substitute only had to slot into an empty net.

Three minutes later, Kara bagged his brace, heading into the top corner from an Adamsen cross. Shortly after, another substitute made an impact in Claudy Mbuyi. The Frenchman was barely closed down and made easy work of beating Gliklich (83').

With this victory, SK Rapid Wien move to 33 points from twelve matches and remain at the top of the table. WAC remain bottom of the league with six points.
