Schasching misses World Cup Play-offs against Switzerland
Austria's women's national team will have to do without Annabel Schasching in the World Cup Play-offs against Switzerland. The midfielder is out for several months.
In December, the Austrian women's national team will compete for a ticket to the 2027 World Cup in Brazil. Midfield engine Annabel Schasching will not be available for the clash against Switzerland.
The 23-year-old is sidelined with a thigh injury.
The RB Leipzig player sustained the injury early in the match during the 4-0 win against Kosovo. Examinations revealed a severe muscle and tendon injury.
"Out for Several Months"
RB Leipzig reports an absence of "several months".
Schasching will therefore definitely miss the play-off matches for ÖFB head coach Lars Söndergaard on December 1st and 5th against Switzerland.
