It was arguably one of the craziest World Cup games in Austrian history: Austria and Algeria drew 3:3 in an almost absurd slugfest (the match report>>>).

Arnautovic and Sabitzer put Austria in front twice (28th, 55th), but both times the Algerians quickly equalized (Belghali 45th, Mahrez 60th).

Both teams seemed content with the 2:2 and stopped taking risks. With what seemed to be the last action, Algeria still took the lead through Mahrez (90.+3), putting Austria on the brink of elimination. But Sasa Kalajdzic headed the ÖFB team into the knockout phase with what was truly the very last attack (90.+6).
