New role for Roman Kerschbaum at Rapid
Former assistant coach Patrick Jovanovic ends his tenure and is replaced by a former midfielder of the "Green-Whites".
Rapid II announces changes in the coaching staff!
Long-serving assistant coach Patrick Jovanovic will end his tenure with "Grün-Weiß" for personal reasons. The 52-year-old had been an assistant coach for the second team since July 2015. Additionally, from July to December 2021, he even briefly served as head coach of Rapid II.
Kerschbaum Takes Over
New to head coach Jürgen Kerber's team is Roman Kerschbaum. The 32-year-old midfielder will not only act as an assistant coach but also support the team as an experienced player, Rapid announced on Friday.
The Lower Austrian has already been a coach at the Rapid Academy since March and simultaneously played as a player for Ostliga champions Gloggnitz.
Kerschbaum played 79 competitive matches for Rapid from 2022 to 2025.
